Register a Death
Please book your appointment date for as soon as possible.
If a coroner isn't involved, it is a legal requirement that a death needs to be registered with the registrar within 5 days of the issue of the Medical Certificate of the Cause of Death by the medical examiner.
For St Albans Register Office please note that some of our offices are on the first floor and there is currently no step free access to that floor. If you require a downstairs office for your appointment in St Albans please continue to book online and then email us at Registrars.Admin@hertfordshire.gov.uk to make us aware.
